There really isn’t just one place I find relaxing. There tends to be more than one given the right circumstances. Sometimes it is home. Sometimes I find relaxation in meditation. Other times I might just find it in “Nature” which I consider part of my “Temple”. When I’m at home, like I am now, my backyard and our lower lot are two of my favorite places to wander. The energy feels wonderful and the air is so pure and clean. At night I can see the stars very clearly. It’s a decent small town if you can handle the lack of employment, but it is my home and I still love it regardless.
Anyone else care to share where their favorite place (s) to relax are?

“Banality is stronger than belief, yet Faith is stronger still“. I’ve heard my teacher utter this phrase more times than I can count and in all honesty I still haven’t quite had my epiphany of “OH! I get it!”. Instead I understand the meaning of what is being said – but something just isn’t clicking. These three forces are considered some of the most basic in understanding how the world works and how we can manifest that which we desire in our lives. I’m going to break it down and maybe by doing so I’ll have my epiphany – if I’m lucky.
What is Banality? In the realms that I work with “Banality” often deals with “negativity” or anything that is considered “negative”. It can be a thought, a word, a phrase, a feeling, worries, doubts, and fears. Banality to my teacher and myself is often found in forms such as:
“You can’t do that,” sarcasm, cynicism, dishonest intentions such as saying one thing but meaning another, “You deserve to be happy…*with me*…” More

In a previous post called “Fear + God = Does Not Compute For Me” I touched briefly on the concept of “The Divine Within Us“. I decided I’d follow that up with a very special post of its own. I’d like to open up with a word that you’ll often see me use at the end of my posts, because it has a VERY important place to me in this particular topic. That word is “Namaste“. While Sanskrit is a high context language the interpretation I shoot for usually is this, “The spirit in me respects the spirit in you,” “the divinity in me bows to the divinity in you“.
Using some of my past know how in regards to the Bible (and I know some of the same can be found in other sacred texts of other traditions) I’ll be pulling up the old topic of “We are created in the image of our creator” and how it correlates to the meaning of this word “Namaste“. More

I know some people are of the mind-set you should “FEAR” god. For in “Fearing” God you respect “God”, but to me “Fear” is so FAR apart from actual “Respect” that I can’t wrap my head around this concept. I’ve never been able to fully grasp why anyone would wish to dedicate their lives to a God or Goddess they “Fear”. I suppose part of it comes from the idea that “God” or “The Creator” is “All powerful” or to quote Genie from Aladdin, “Phenomenal Cosmic Powers! Itty bitty living space“, but in being “All Powerful” that means that supposedly the creator has far more power than us and WE acknowledge that. In doing so, we in a way, give up part of the “Divine Powers” within us. I’ll explain a little more about that as you read on (not too in-depth, but there will be subtle discussion and I will be doing a topic about it even later on. So have no fear! If you have questions though afterword please feel free to ask though. It will help contribute to the next posting if anything).
As I said from the start, I don’t see how the two concepts “God” and “Fear” can coexist peacefully in a truly “Faithful” order that is honestly dedicated to their beliefs. Why? Because to me, if we were created in “Gods” image that means there has to be MORE to GOD than just “Fear” that we can dedicate our lives to if we so desire. God also gave us “Free-will” and is NEVER going to take that back so we can choose to “serve” or “dedicate” our lives to “Spirit” in some form if we so choose, that doesn’t have to be just out of “Fear”. There can be other reasons. More

Many people don’t realize worship and prayer come in many forms, it just depends on our perspective and how we look at things in our world. Anything quite literally could be considered a form of “prayer” or “worship”. A very good example I can share is Dancing, Singing, Creativity (Writing such as motivational stories, poetry, drawing, painting, etc), the playing of an instrument whatever it is that best puts us in the frame of mind to invoke “Spirit” or to best commune with “Spirit” is prayer or worship in my eyes. Now I know not everyone takes the Universal Life Church seriously, since ANYONE can go on the site and register to become an ordained minister, but for those of us not entirely savvy on how we’d go about getting this done under the religion of our choice, it does make things easy. Not to mention if we plan on starting our own religious organizations it is very handy.
Today I finally broke down and went on the Universal Life Church to register and become an Ordained Minister in the belief system of my choice. This to me is MOST excellent considering I have followed my own path for a VERY long time and still have met very few who walk the same path as I in perfect love, trust, and respect for one another no matter sex or slight differences in ideology.
So today, I am proud to say I am officially an Ordained Minister of my Faith/Path and can perform any and all rights of passage or religious ceremonies. Yay! Very few people can truly understand how much this means to someone such as myself, even if it was NOT given to me by someone within my own path except by “Spirit” itself-I am happy regardless and in a way somehow relieved.
~Namaste~
