Saturday is definitely one of our favorite days because it is one of the “Do all” days where some of us have nearly all the TIME in the world to do whatever we want (especially for those still in school). However, when Sunday rolls around it is a day to “Dress your best” maybe go to Church, listen to sermon (possibly or nap one of the two. I know my dad would often do this. I giggled when I caught him doing it), maybe go Grocery Shopping, and then what? I guess some of you MIGHT be doing homework or others could simply be dreading the next day to come which is “Monday”.
Now for those of us who DON’T work on Sundays or have “Sundays” as one of our “scheduled days off” like maybe it’s our “Saturday,” why can’t we have more to do in the evenings or even during the day on Sunday? Because supposedly some people see it as the beginning/end of the work week? I think that kind of sounds like a load of crap! I can imagine taking Sundays “easy” can be nice but at the same time some of us are craving EXCITEMENT! ADVENTURE! Maybe we seek to do some late in the day shopping that we couldn’t get done normally on the regular “Week Day”. Perhaps there is an important “Errand” we need to run. If you are someone who works “Swing Shift” or even maybe “Night Shift”. It’s often nice to have a day where you don’t have to “Rush, rush, rush” to get to the next place before it closes because you chose to sleep in a bit before getting up (especially if you did a LOT of heavy lifting the day before). Yes; it’s my opinion, I’m entitled to it, but I feel and wish there was simply more to do on Sundays because I know it would certainly brighten “my day” if there was more time in the day to go out and have fun on Sundays.
