The Most Vulgar Phrase You May Ever Hear…

WARNING! This topic may be offensive to certain parties. Its intent is not to be hurtful or even discriminate against said party(ies) but to provide a new level of ‘awareness’ to those who it DOES apply to. You have been adequately warned, proceed to read at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding.

The most vulgar and ugly phrase I have come across in the human language by far has to be, are you ready? “You’re going to hell!“. Yep. You read that right and that’s definitely what I typed, “You’re going to hell!”. You might be wondering how in the world this simple phrase can honestly and truly be so vulgar, but – think about it. How would you feel if someone said this very thing to you?
Especially if you considered yourself say, a ‘Good Christian‘. What if you were a non-Christian?

Non-Christian folk often have to put up with hearing this sort of thing all the time, especially if they’ve chosen a different path that they feel, honestly and truly connects them with the Divine in some way. In our world, there is not just one path to God, Yahweh, Gaia or whatever name you use to refer to the creator, there are many. Some are honestly more positive than others.

Now bear with me because I will be, most likely, pulling the Christians a few times in here, only because they are the best example. So if your Christian and don’t like being criticized, you were warned earlier but – this is where you may wish to get off. Just saying.

It’s no secret that I’m not a Christian – but I have Christian roots and so I try to be as respectful as I can toward the religion. The people on the other hand – they are hit or miss. It’s like what Gandhi said, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ,” and that has been my general feeling of most “All smiles” Christians I meet. More

P.A.U. 26 – What happened?

Hello again folks!

I know, you haven’t heard from me since December. December got pretty busy for me. It was the first time I got to experience what the, “Christmas/Holiday Buzz” is all about when you are rushing and fighting to get those wonderful thoughtful gifts and get some wonderful holiday crafting projects done. My schedule was packed. So packed I had no time for writing. >.<

I thought in January everything should die back down but the Holiday “Hubbub” continued even a little on after till about the end of the month and even then the stress of the Holidays also brought some old stuff up I’ve had to contend with since. I’ve just been taking it all in stride. I haven’t been able to even schedule or give classes/lectures in SecondLife either sadly, although I may have found another method of being able to share my classes with a wider audience online for those who aren’t into getting into SecondLife. 😉

I haven’t made any final decisions yet, I’m still thinking my options over. That being said, I may have a second venue to give my classes in SecondLife. My only issue is that they only seem to give their schedules a week in advance and I don’t think very many folks would show up if it’s THAT last-minute, so to speak. :/ <–Me skeptical.

I need to ask the Director, of sorts, if they do a monthly calendar at all where they know other events that are planned in advanced for the month, otherwise I may bite the bullet and give it a shot. If it’s not worth it, I’ll find out real quick. More

Careful! It’s a TRAP! Holiday Loans, beware!

My partner recently got a flyer-postcard in the mail from a company offering folks “loans” for the holiday so they could have the funds to purchase gifts for their loved ones. I had to do a double-take and shake my head, not to mention I was a little upset at this ploy.

A lot of folks are already in debt. Lots of folks are STILL recovering from the recession or they just are barely making enough to scrape by with how things have been in the economy. “Let’s help them be MORE in-debt by offering them loans!” *Phoney Big grin with two thumbs up, then frowny face* Ye-ah, no.

Folks, please – for the love of all things pure, sacred and holy, don’t fall for this load of horse manure. It’s really just a trick. You DON’T need it!

This time of year is supposed to be about family, togetherness, kindness, compassion and tender moments. It is more than just “material” based goods. Physical gifts are a simple perk. They aren’t necessary to enjoy this time of year.

If you are so worried about giving something, try a thoughtful card with one of your favorite quotations. Or try making a hand-made-home-made ornament. Perhaps learn a song someone in your family really loves and sing it for them. There are other ways you can show you care and give a “gift” of sorts to someone. Sometimes gifts aren’t always physical either, sometimes they are intangible.

Those are often the best gifts because they touch our souls and often last past the moment in which they were commenced, performed or otherwise. Those are the best. If you truly, absolutely, have nothing to give. Please don’t sweat it! Those who are your true friends and family should and WILL understand your circumstance. They shouldn’t need a physical gift to confirm why you are so special to them or worth having in their life. That should already come on its own.

They should be grateful for what they have and so should you. This truly is a time of also being grateful for what we do have. So think on that for a while.

This Holiday season I urge and implore you, don’t fall for the hype and get yourself a loan. Forget the “peer-pressure“. Do what’s right for you. Do what is within your means to do. And have a wonderful holiday season!

Thank you for reading as always. Much love and gratitude.

When You Water the Garden

Read the article. I’ve got no words because the article is such a good summary of anything I could ever say. I have to remind myself of these same things sometimes too, otherwise I overwhelm myself at times with trying to do too much. Definitely worth a read though. :3

The-best-results-comeWhen you water the garden, you can’t expect the plants to grow in front of your eyes.

You have to continue to water and care for your garden if it is to flourish in the long-term.

When you exercise, you can’t expect to immediately run a marathon with rippling biceps.

You have to remain disciplined with your regime and diet to reach an elite level of fitness.

Not always with the flow

When I initially read this two quotes from World of Warcraft came to mind that the Jinyu say, “Go where the river wills,” but later they go on to say, “Don’t be afraid to swim against the current”. This post had really great ideas and a good message, however – I don’t think, “Going with the flow,” is bad either. Many of us already know that life simply cannot be THAT easy, as much as we’d like it to be.

And often times when it IS that easy, it isn’t worthwhile. More often than not though I have heard from other Spiritual individuals, teachers, wisemen and so forth that if you want very -little- drama in your life or otherwise, go with the flow. If you try to swim against these things it may make things more difficult. That being said, sometimes as hard as we try to do just this, there will BE drama regardless.

Be sure to keep these things in mind when you are reading this article. 🙂

Sometimes everything is easy and falls neatly into place. When that happens, it can be tempting to see it as proof that we are blessed, and moving in the direction some higher, hopefully benevolent force approves of. Perhaps we feel in tune with the universe, or that reality is bending over backwards to accommodate us. Either way, it can be intoxicating.

Nature is populated by things that create tides, and things that go along with them. The moon makes the sea tides, opening up coastal feeding opportunities, and then the predators come to feed on that which feeds and they are all part of the same tide. It makes good sense to use something heading your way, to go with a flow that suits your purpose.

Focus on Your Own Lane

This was yet another -very- excellent article that I simply had to share. Do you often find yourself looking at everyone else’s lane but your own?

Better Life Coaching Blog

Look-straight-ahead-andOur kids all compete in athletics and it’s a lot of fun watching them each competing and doing their best.

However, watching Madison running in sprinting events has an element of frustration.

Despite the instruction of her coaches and some gentle encouragement from Karen and I, she just can’t help herself and spends most of the race looking left and right at the other runners.

Whilst other runners are focused on the finish line, she loses momentum and costs herself valuable seconds.  There’s no doubt that she is trying her best, but because she allows herself to get distracted, her results aren’t indicative of her capability.

It’s not that big a deal and it’s entertaining to watch when it’s little athletics, but I suspect that there is a lesson here for the rest of us.

P.A.U. 25 November Cold Blues & more

As you can see above I’ve included a poll this time with one of my P.A.U.’s. It’s not often I do but since I’m still playing around with the tagline I thought it would be fun to ask my audience for their advice. Keep in mind, there are reasons why some of those as I did and here are some of those reasons:

Option 1 – Is the original tagline I started out with. First thing that came to mind and it felt like it summed up part of who I was and some of the matters I find important.

Option 2 – I worded this the way I did because often times others and myself have often seen the darkness in the world and so I try my best to be a supportive and positive human-being, sort of a “light” in the darkness when things or people are bleak, cruel, hurtful and most difficult. More

A Mother Knows Best – Always

A while back I experienced an event that spurred the idea for this topic and as you can see, I’m just now getting back to it. Whether you are a new parent or a current parent with children (grown up or no), you’ve probably experienced this once in your life either in a supermarket, perhaps a School, daycare or some place else – someone else, another parent, may come up to you and try to tell you how to raise your kid (Granted, not everyone who has children deserves to have them – but that’s neither here nor there at the moment).

Whether it is in the way you are trying to punish your child for bad behavior or something else, they might think they are offering friendly parental advice (and some folks DO mean well) OR – they may even try to threaten the very way you wish to handle your children (spankings are not outlawed for parents people, just schools and other public facilities in most states, so long as they aren’t the parents of the child – though I don’t personally believe in this method of punishment 😛 ).

Sometimes you just wish people would keep their advice to themselves or just keep their nose out of your business and that’s completely understandable. I had one of these moments. I don’t have children of my own, yet, but I had a woman who thought that just because she was a Mother meant that she knew better than I on how to handle a circumstance I was in.

Now, I have been around children quite a bit. Enough so I can understand them fairly well, what they want and need, even people’s toddlers at times I can understand much like the parents should only probably be able to (You know that babble toddlers do that’s almost incomprehensible? Yep. That.). Kids love me. All of my friends who I have made mention to that I might like to have kids someday think and feel I would be a great mother. Granted, I will admit, I am no expert by any means on how to raise children but again – I do know a thing or two. So I’m not a complete idiot.

So to continue our story, I was at a big event and I was watching one of the little ones who wanted to wander around and eventually she saw someone she knew that she wanted to follow, but I didn’t think that was what she should do, especially since I had to stay close by in the event my help was needed. I was playing babysitter for the time to try to keep the peace while folks finished setting things up for said event. More

Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop? STOP!

This is for all the folks who are or have been intuitive enough to just know when something big in the world is happening. For those who believed that in 2012 the World shifted or at least should have shifted into a brand new dimension or plane of existence, perhaps grandfathering everyone into a better state of being, thus ushering in a new world of peace. For all the Indigo, Crystal, Rainbow, Starseeds, Blue-Rays and/or Walk-ins, yes, this is for you too.

Some of you, might be like me, wondering what exactly happened? Some folks were expecting the end times, while others such as myself were hoping for something far better. Some of us did indeed feel a shift of sorts, but nothing major seemed to occur. We aren’t now living in a peaceful utopia. We are living in a new K’atun, that of Chaos. You mention the word ‘Chaos‘ though and most people freak out.

Chaos?! OH GODS! It must be the end of the world!” is probably some folks reaction, maybe even now after reading what I had said. However, Chaos is not always bad. Chaos can simply mean ‘Change’ as well, though – it might get a little hairy at times.

Many of us were waiting for this, “Phenomenal Cosmic Powers! Itty bitty living space,” (Sorry, couldn’t help myself) event to occur, yet when the time came and went, nothing truly seemed different, but we could feel an energy shift of sorts and there were changes that began to occur. Some folks were reporting having a pretty bad year in 2012 before it became 2013, myself included.
The best thing that happened that year was the completion of my first novel.

Even now, it seems as though the world isn’t really getting better but worse, if anything. There have been more School shootings over the last few years. Why this is, I’m not entirely sure, I know it can’t be just from bullying alone, though that doesn’t help – it only adds fuel to the fire. The attitude of the world or where we live might not seem better either.

A Good Deed Remembered

I have been trying to think of what my next topic would be and today I was reminded of a very scary and terrifying incident that turned out to have a happy ending, along with a little more.

This story is about an act of “kindness” that was shown to me and mine when it was needed most. About a year ago (or so), the sun was just setting and my Mother was on her way home from Kitten Rescue. I was inside preoccupying myself with, I think, my blog. I had no idea what had happened outside, otherwise I’d have been in a bit of a panic.

I heard the sound of a car, honking. This happened a few times in an urgent manner so I got up and rushed out to the front porch. It was my Mother and she called to me and said, “Is this Amadan?” and my heart sank a little. To my horror, Amadan was lying motionless in the road.
For those unaware, Amadan is my Seal-point Siamese-Mix I have had since his birth along with his brother Loki, who traveled with my Brother, their brother Gabriel, their mother Cammy and I all the way from Florida back home to Washington.

When I was able to get my shoes on and rush out there to help my Mother, Amadan was just starting to regain consciousness. He yowled in pain. He had broken a tooth, he was a little banged up, but he looked fine over all. I was so freaked out, terrified and trying to keep it together and remain as calm as I could, running Reiki healing energy on him to help.
