The Most Vulgar Phrase You May Ever Hear…

WARNING! This topic may be offensive to certain parties. Its intent is not to be hurtful or even discriminate against said party(ies) but to provide a new level of ‘awareness’ to those who it DOES apply to. You have been adequately warned, proceed to read at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding.

The most vulgar and ugly phrase I have come across in the human language by far has to be, are you ready? “You’re going to hell!“. Yep. You read that right and that’s definitely what I typed, “You’re going to hell!”. You might be wondering how in the world this simple phrase can honestly and truly be so vulgar, but – think about it. How would you feel if someone said this very thing to you?
Especially if you considered yourself say, a ‘Good Christian‘. What if you were a non-Christian?

Non-Christian folk often have to put up with hearing this sort of thing all the time, especially if they’ve chosen a different path that they feel, honestly and truly connects them with the Divine in some way. In our world, there is not just one path to God, Yahweh, Gaia or whatever name you use to refer to the creator, there are many. Some are honestly more positive than others.

Now bear with me because I will be, most likely, pulling the Christians a few times in here, only because they are the best example. So if your Christian and don’t like being criticized, you were warned earlier but – this is where you may wish to get off. Just saying.

It’s no secret that I’m not a Christian – but I have Christian roots and so I try to be as respectful as I can toward the religion. The people on the other hand – they are hit or miss. It’s like what Gandhi said, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ,” and that has been my general feeling of most “All smiles” Christians I meet. More

5 Things I Am Nervous to Write About and Why

Today’s daily post was “Make a list of 5 things you are afraid to write about”. I’m usually not afraid. I’m nervous more than anything because I never know how my writing on certain subjects will be received since most of us are familiar with the dreaded “Gap Hunters” or rather as they are better known “Trolls”. They don’t scare me so much as just flat-out give me a HEADACHE for various obvious reasons that if ANY of you are familiar with these individuals can understand. Without further adieu, let’s get into why we are here in the first place, my list and why:

1. Politics – I’ll admit, I’ve never been the most SAVVY gal on politics. Our whole government system gives me a headache and makes me dizzy thinking about how it functions and works. I really think we over-complicate things when we could easily simplify things if we truly wanted to. In general, I have trouble writing flat-out about anything relating to Government and Politics. I Did Not Ask For It, So Keep It To Yourself

Wadi Rum, the "Seven Pillars of Wisdom&qu...

Today was one of those days I was simply reminded of something that has often been a vexation of mine for a long time now. One of those days where, you know people mean well, but nothing they say helps because they make it sound SO incredibly easy, like they understand everything COMPLETELY about what you’re talking about without having to hear the whole story, and therefore they believe their method will work well for others as it has for them. This is not a slight toward anyone, just they reminded me of this and that’s something I needed to channel some of my frustration today creatively.

So this rant today is about just that. Folks, just because you have words of Wisdom to give, doesn’t mean anyone WANTS to honestly hear it. If they didn’t ask, you might not want to give your “advice” or “Words of Wisdom” unless you proceed with, “May I”? first. That would be the much more polite and courteous thing to do. You are giving that person the “Free-Will” to choose whether or not they shall hear your words or not. Not forcibly forcing your words upon them because you feel you are right or THINK you are right.
